Filippo Ciabatti will join the Boston Baroque as Principal Guest Conductor.

Filippo Ciabatti will join the Boston Baroque team in the newly created role of Principal Guest Conductor. Ciabatti led a thrilling performance of Handel’s Messiah in 2025 and was the group’s Assistant Conductor from 2023-2025 under Pearlman. He serves as Director of Orchestral and Choral Programs at Dartmouth College’s Hopkins Center for the Arts, and Artistic Director of the Upper Valley Baroque Ensemble in New Hampshire.

Marc Minkowski is Appointed Boston Baroque’s New Musical Director

Internationally acclaimed early music expert will kick off the 2026-2027 season. Minkowski succeeds longtime founding Musical Director Martin Pearlman, who served for more than 50 years.
